Poets who compete receive points on a modified scale where the more poets you beat, the more points you get. A
bonus point is awarded to the highest scoring poet of the round
Example: You win a slam with 8 poets. Because you won the slam, you get 7 points.
The poet with the most points at the end of the season (March 31, 2011) will go into the Grand Slam automatically.
Poets ranked 2-17 will compete in semi-finals where the top 4 poets from each semi goes on to the Grand Slam. We will
also have a Last Chance Slam where the eight semi-finalists who didn't make the cut have a shot for the last slot of the 2011
